I got the most interesting qns these days...
The other day I posted "I am so glad you finally asked"
Guess what people ask me.

"You getting engaged?"

It was about discipleship.

Then I posted Rom 8:28 as personal message, and I have a friend asking me

"Getting ROM on the 28?"

and then another,

"Hey, you engaged? I thought I saw you at the ROM last saturday."

so finally a close friend jokingly ask me,
"so when are you getting engaged?"
In due season, yes. :D

Was just sharing with my pupils in their Journal book when I got reminded of the non-routine question that I asked my dad some time ago. :D

#1 Why is that my brother has a 1st month banquet but my sister and I dont have?
#2 What was your reaction when you heard that my mom was pregnant with my sister?
#3 What was your reaction when you heard that my mom was pregnant with my brother?

Da Vinci The genius

Went to the Leonardo Da Vinci Exhibition today
Its all about his Physics stuff and painting.

They place a video as the last station, I think that should be first, cos it would make the exhibition more meaningful. :)

I'm attracted more to the paintings.

Lets say we are paying $15 to see his creations and learn a little bit more about his paintings. For the Intellectual Rights.

The TV ad on the Mona Lisa part is abit kua zhang. They just displayed all that they have found on the wall, lots of reading. As good as buying a book back to read. Maybe can learn more from a book.

how've you guys been,

I've been running around for nothing. :D

during this season of break from blogging, I travel to Kota Tinggi and learnt the goodness of fellowship.

On the side note, SIM is starting again, yet again, another season.
But I believe this time I will rise up higher.
Cos I've been through the first semester.

Dont like this studing and working business,
made me so task driven and objective focus.
Bcos every single moment seems to be so essential.

Thrown everything onto the table.
Realized that its really about expectation management.

Just heard from the News Broadcast on Channel 5
Height has direct relation to our wage.

for every 10cm difference in height,
Man gets 3% more in wage,
Woman gets 2% more in wage.

OH my goodness!
so disadvantaged to be vertically challenged as well.

its only the height at 16yrs old that matters.

WCP Fellowship

Went down to West Coast today with my cell members.

The weather was really Good.
All thanks for Kelvin and the leaders who arranged. Must have prayed for it. :) Gazillion thanks! Praise God.

Used my camera phone to snap some pictures here and there, first time I see this kind of dock in SG.

The brothers had fun kicking ball too.

:D yup, one of them was holding on to a bag of fries while kicking soccer :D

Watching them kick the ball, throw the ball across the distance when playing Captain's Ball gave me a very big understand.

When I was 18+ I use to belittle a man's strength. Its kind of like because of my physic, I could carry what most man could carry at that age.

But just through today's game, I saw how strength was bestow upon man.

Its their extra gift to be able to carry, throw and to execute actions with such strength.
That indeed in the kingdom of God. Theres a role for man that woman are not suppose to fulfill or not build to fulfill.

Today was also the first time I sat down and look at a man's game with admiration.

Was just chatting with one of the members that was there.
That friend had loads of fun. Added loads of joy to the group.
It really reminds me of the role everyone plays.
That friend kinda became the joke of the day at least that person say.

Went to watch a movie today after going down to school to mark.
Cant stand the intense stress anymore. *breaking apart*

Anyway,
realized that I go for more reflective and no brainner movies more than any other kind.
Like the other time I went to watch Knowing.
Goodness, it was so intense and loud.
Simply do not like the idea of needing to cover my ears.
Came back and dont feel so much of a relaxed and what I would have desired at all.

No Comedy Romance this season.
Lots of block buster though.

Nope,
I hadnt watch Wolverine,
Nope, not Angel and Demon as well.
Nope, not Hangman
Not Star Trek. No need to even think about that.
Not even Fast and Furious.

I went to watch this show that is about the decisions we made in life.
A reminder to really acknowledge that we shouldnt blame our failures on our love ones.
About how that can really tear lives apart.
And when your job undermines you, move on and change one.
:D
I speak like I'm in the situation.
Wonder how I would react if its me in that situation. :D

The wife actually has the talent to decorate the whole garden. But it was the man who kinda put up the "fire place" and the Hemlock thing.

Reminds me of the scenario that:

That on the note the you really dont have any idea of how talented she is?

Its Sunday,

This morning was very scary, I jumped up thinking it was monday.
Anxiety attack... not good not good.

Anyway,
Was just gathering at the choir area when a thought strike me.

"When I'm dealing with my non-routine kids, am I responding in anger?"

That was a very important thought I feel.
Just as we are being pushed to the end, do we respond in anger, or is there an alternative way to respond in love?

Just finished watching the show, I'm very inspired.
That yah, really thats the life of teachers.
Its either the very disciplinarian side,
or the find ways to get it through kind.

and finally, when the teacher walks away, its not a nobody.
But really, it is one person, that has impacted the life of the many that he/she has come into contact with.

The grown up with the wisdom accumulate over the years, looking at a child's deeds and acts, having been there, done that, know of the feelings and thoughts, willing to acknowledge and come back to those.

Saturday morning went over to City Square to do some window shopping.

that was enough of a chill out time for me.

Then come Saturday evening got a call from a colleague.

Went over to meet up with a friend for breakfast.
Learnt something about myself.

Was just reflecting on a conversation that I had with a colleague, about being a morning person or not.
Are you usually the grumpy kind that doesnt like to talk in the morning.

Had an encounter regards that.
Was on my way to my desk, going up the staircase to my workstation. Then a kid came and ask me somethings regards an announcement made the day before.

The poor innocent kid.
From my point of view, the answer is in the announcement.
So me being me that morning,
I literally ask her, "What did the announcement say?"

Can see the child literally back out. :D

so poor thing right...
Thats the kind of thing our love ones goes through.
Esp if one party isnt a morning person. *assuming that the love one is with them in the morning*
So know your love one well and understand their pattern.

I am quite an oki morning person. Its just that day, the isolated case.

Was just going through some thoughts, then this thought came about
What if, you wake up one morning, and it isnt your love one that u see at the first instant. Instead its another person O_O

I'm sure everyone likes to wake up with their love one beside them, stealing a kiss or two before rolling off bed.

What if, it isnt exactly that person?
Can you imagine that? Of course I say, Dont imagine too much.

Or maybe I should turn it around and ask, is the one that sleeps beside u truly ur love one?

Was just clearing up my boxes of stuff that I collected over the years.
:D not exactly stuff.
Rather, they are the notes and textbooks through Secondary and Poly life,
not alot not alot.
Plenty of stuff from St Johns, NYP Pals, tut, Lect notes, Christian Education Books and plenty of Idol pictures...

I realize,
Basically, Declutter = Throw.

So the process was like.

E-Business - Throw.
Management Accounting - Throw.
Business Communication - ok, cannot throw, I need to know how to write official business doc
Accounting - Throw
Auditing - THROW
Company Law - ok, Law dont change often can keep.
Stats for Biz - Throw.

Yes, I'm quite decisive.

Then it dawn on to me.
WHy on earth did I study these modules for?
Why Statistics for Business.
What the heck...
What was the reason?

Well, didnt exactly regret choosing that Diploma though, cos its a choice I made. Since Sec 2 actually. These module actually comes bundle with Accounts that I wanted to take cos I'm good in it.

If only I had knew that I would be a people person since Sec 2 :D

So now comes the question.
Why am I taking English With Psychology?
Psychology because I'm plainly interested in it.
English is just to enhance my life so I wont be stuck with psychology and psychology only.

and Hey, I am enjoying the study of The Form of Humanities k~

Next Sem, most probably taking 2 10CUs modules. :D

Child's Development

Was just watching L Change the World.
*Yes I know, old show *

My sis bought the VCD some time ago, tts y i can watch it at home.
All the streaming sites that I know of seems to be down.
Was just folding clothes thats y played it.

anyway,

I was on the ear piece.
The show itself started off with a virus-spread village.

So the whole time, you hear people calling out for help.

"Help Me, Help me.
Jiu Ming Ar, Jiu Ming Ar, "

Wah, the kind of emotion thats in the voice.
Even if im not watching the scenes. Just the sound directed straight into my ear, straight into the brain.
That was enough to bring my mood down.

I realize that is exactly the kind of thing children experience.
Imagine a child being told "I'm So Disappointed In You" "I'm So Disappointed In You"
esp at the period where the seek acceptance,
I think they will suffer very bad strokes to their esteem.

So

Speak Positive into people's life today.

Too much school work and on top of not being out on Last Sunday.
Didnt get to buy shoes also.

The tutor said one of them is the official painter for French Revolution.

Hi all,

I'm back finally to blog.
wah i think its like 2 days.

Anyway, its been a busy busy stretch, lets skip all the boring ones and go for some photos.
Super long saturday, totally exhausted. cos its a rolled on from the stretch of late night and early mornings.

Started with the Romance and Relationship Seminar of City Harvest Church at the Legends. Learnt alot through the seminar,
Steal the time during Lunch to walk up Fort Canning park and take photos.
The plants there were so Huge!

Any moment a Dinosaur would just pop its head out and *RoWR* at you :D

Feels as though walking up some stone steps to a castle in a faraway land...

Happen to notice the couple walking in-front of me, and saw them coming together to hold hands, :) reminds me

*Hand in hand, walking down the road with you.
Sings: "All I wanna do, is grow old with you..."

Long winding road.
It was a nice photo moment. :)

Continued walking and I saw this,

I was like "wOH"

The taxi drove me to here and was kinda stuck at the gate, then I ask him, can we stop and get off here? He gladly obligated, I paid just as the car was allowed to pass through. SO he offered to drive me down . It was quite a distance, when we arrived, I insisted on giving him an addition dollar, he said "Dont Want, you very pretty, thats why I send you down" :D

Just finished my psychology TMA.

They say Sigmund Freud's Psychosexual Theory is very non-routine, difficult to study.
Im actually very interested to find out more.
But its not in this module.

its 2 more days to due, but according to the schedule's I dont have waking hours to do it.
Had no motivation to stay up and do, wanted to do make up for cellgroup instead, but leader prayed.
Must have been the prayers. :)

Its almost 4.30am now. Course at 8.30am later.

Dont count the hours you can sleep,
Make the hours count.

cos theres this guy from a social networking website.
I organized an outing. I left my number, instructed to sms me if anyone is keen.
He private message me in the website, did not sms me.
So I dont have his number cant send confirmation to him.

After upteem times, he finally reply in the website with his number. not sms me.

I was so caught up with it.

Was just watching Ellen on TV, the talkshow.
The interview was on Simon Baker,
so they were talking about this pair of spects that he wore for a very important award show. :D

then it came on to me.
"Get Old, Look Good and impress some people."
Some people. :D you cant impress all.
But still - Look Good. cos Get old will come to you like it or not. :D

Oh and he executed a "touch" very well. You know sometimes, a touch before making certain point can be very powerful. :) Oh, the one that he did. Caught me totally.

Was just attending tutorial today on my Humanities module when I got reminded of a verse. Its been so long since I last came upon it. I use to face it like what, Everyday? *when I was in NIE*

Remember the other day I mention about being unable to sleep, tossing till almost 5am.
Now I know why.
Cos I was absolutely upset with the idea that I couldnt work on my assignment at all considering that was the best time to do and to top it up another Psychology module assignment is due in the same period.

I was screaming at myself. What is wrong with me? I purposely didnt bring extra marking home so I can spend the weekend recovering and doing my assignment. Why on earth can I not get anything started, get any idea onto paper, compartmentalize my thoughts, or for the matter, even flip the pages of the book and do some reading.

That unmentioned "anger" and pent up emotions kept me up the whole night. *on top of the compartmentalize and priority btw God and Man
In today's tutorial, the tutor nicely pointed out the things to focuse on in the text, what are the areas we have to look through etc etc.

Thats like such a HUGE blessings. Cos if I had spend time to read up, I would 1. Not rested. Hence delayed recovery 2. Wasted plenty of time considering I would be reading plenty of no-need-to-focuse on stuff.

It really reminds me,
All things work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

Not that I'm encouraging my readers to be lazy and skip readings, wait for miracle to happen,
but truly when it comes to an end of what we can do, when we choose to surrender it unto the Lord, Oh He will make it all come through.

Had an interesting thought in school today.

Was just waiting at the Remedial classroom when one of the children arrived. The rest were late. I am expected to pick them up from the canteen, I wont usually wait for long over there as well, cos its the recess time of other level. It would all be very messy. So they know if they dont see me, they would have to go up to the classroom first.

but today dont know why, none of them were on time.

It use to be that if they are early they would go up to the staff room and look for me.
Today, none of that happened.

Maybe because it was so good weather this morning?

anyway, I was standing by the classroom door, opening it up, then one of them arrived and approached.

There I was standing,

in came my little child,

a boy,

the look of innocence,

into the room,

alone,

with Ms Ng

no one else.

Just me and him.

Then it hit me

"The trust and faith needed to put the child in school. Into the hands of a teacher believing in the moral of that teacher that will be transferred to the child in the entire duration of the rest of the day."

*Disclaimer! there were chinese dance activity going on outside, and its a common corridor.*
There is no way any non-routine matters can happen.

but really, wOh.
Guess its the faith in the name of a "Teacher"
the morals and everything that a person with the position of being a "Teacher" MUST have.
Without a shadow of doubt.

I'm blown away.
Almost couldnt function for a while because of that thought.

Of course I didnt stay in that room, behind closed door alone with the child.

I walked out to the corridor, look around, look down to the floor level, look out to the front gate.
Then stood at the doorway and ask the child to go down and see if the other classmates have arrived. ask them to come up.

He left.
For a while, I realize how big my role is.

Woh.

Went out to NP after service today. To check out the tutorial room for this Thursday's 1st Psychology lesson.
My goodness... I literally scaled Hills and Staircases, brave the hot hot sun, to finally to get to the block.

Approached the level and I was greeted by this...

The after thought was really, did I walk straight to my death and am now approaching the light? :D

Had wanted to go to Sentosa one, but cant seem to sleep last night. Don't know why.
Went to bed at 10pm+ woke up at 2am+. Tossed and turn couldnt fall asleep till close to 5am.

Go Sentosa is to take photos. Its either the not so strong lights in the morning, or the evening sunset.

First train at 7am. so at most photos into 8am+, then thats it.
But didnt go in the morning slot in the end. Not confident of the lighting plus the wake up time is about the time I fell asleep.

then come evening.
Called Sentosa twice to check on their weather status. Still drizzling there as of now.
I think its all wet, so dont think I wanna risk it ba.

Next chance, 28th March ba. :)

Its basically to spend some Me time.

Spent the awake time last night addressing issues of the heart. Was thinking out loud, sieveing through the thoughts on my mind for the past weeks.
Realize that I've been very vulnarable.
Literally very open when it comes to matters of the heart.

So was just speaking to God, saying, "God, we've got to fill up the gap of man so that I can compartmentalize and put the box of man aside and then concentrate on you"

Came to that conclusion before I went into dreamland.

Woke up this morning and again, on the same issue.
Then the thought came. Perhaps its the prompting of the Holy Spirit ba.
If its really what I had it to be, Am I not putting man before God?

Whatever happened to
Seek Him first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all things shall be added onto you.
Him first, then man will come.

Reminds me of what the doctor said when I visited him on thursday.
Dont bother about the pills, overriding the body system *for my specific condition, he's not saying medication is not good*
Surrender it all to God, when its time, He will provide. Its anything too hard for God? not in God's plan?
I asked him choice then, free will. God gave us that. We're given the ability to pray. he replied then thats for you to go through understand and surrender back to Him again. To seek His will, not yours.
Its not about you and God. its about you in God as one. You in Him, Him in God, do you know how wonderful it is?

"Struggling between me and God. Learning about the relationship between me and God. That until I know its as one, not as two, me in Him and Him in God, then will I know how to live life, and life more abundantly."

Thats not so bad for a revelation that took over at least 3 weeks for me to understand.

Guess its all because of the busy-ness.

Hello Hello,

:D wanted to blog about Marley and Me last night be totally got no time, was just marking till I was totally tired out...

Special thanks goes out to a friend who hadnt called me in years. That short chat got me through marking the stack of comprehension unknowingly. :D

About Marley and Me, its totally a couple's show, about being in a marriage, the priorities, the different phases, and the different decisions the couple has to make.
To top it up, the contribution a dog can make.

Got me tearing when the father mention about the dog staying by the son's side for the whole 7hrs not moving an inch when the son isnt feeling well...

Its a nice show. I chose the wrong day to watch it. :D went on Sunday evening, should have just stayed at home and slept instead.

But nah, this show is too good to be missed.

Anyway, got back from SIM just now.
I totally loved the lighting and atmosphere there when it gets late.

and these rows of cars and bikes caught my attention today while on my way home...

Am currently sitting in the living room watching LOTR on TV.

Its a guy show but I am so enchanted by it.

The previous time I watched, I realized why is it called "Fellowship Of The Ring"
This time I watch, I realize why is it called "Lord of The Rings"
Saw the courage in the acts of Aragon, saw the respect between him and his lover.

and yes, I'm only talking about the 1st part of the trilogy :D

Bought my XD card after so much delaying :D *hopeful there be more opportunity for me to take photos. Just missed one today cos the trip to Hop Park was postpone.

Amanda Val Ng is back from school and kicking mad!

She is upset with the day. The part on stonning which leads to inability to even compartmentalize her thoughts and get on with the program.

However,
She is thankful that she got through the noise, the available break periods that gave her grace.
The lovely children that helped her.
The kind weather that made it all easier to work with.
:D

So Amanda Val Ng
Is going to get her butt off the chair, socks higher up, wash up, cook,
and start on her SIM self-study and preparation for Observation tomorrow.

Amanda Val Ng is loving it, and cant imagine doing other job besides being a teacher.

Just finished watching "The Other End of The Line" at the theatres.
So Bedazzled by the different emotions and reasoning in the show.

Indian girl meets boy on the phone.
Indian girl gets arranged marriage in India.

Boy needs to go overseas to work, Girlfriend offers companionship.
Boy rejects.

Boy asks Indian girl to meet overseas.

Boy meets Indian girl overseas.
Boy and Indian girl falls in-love.

Boy and Indian girl miscommunicates.

Boy meets Girlfriend overseas.
Girlfriend dresses in 2 piece.
Girlfriend brushes off Indian girl as housemaid.

Indian girl goes home with Daddy.
Parent says its not just about her Own happiness, its a shared happiness of the family.

Indian girl couldnt bring her heart to salvage the arranged marriage.
Daddy understood and defended Indian girl.

Indian girl continues her life.
Girlfriend pushes Marriage on Boy.

Boy comes to realization on best friend's wedding day.

Boy flies to Indian girl.

Felt so Brain-Fried.
Woke up from my nap and I realize my brain is a wierd state.
You know the kind of feeling that you cant do serious work for a while. :D

Must have been the overdose of late night because of coming home late, and the intense preparation for the presentation/TMA today.

*Phew* thank God its over.
On top of that must be because I didnt blog for like wat 3days?

Its amazing how such deprivation of blogging can turn the mind into mush.
Guess its not surprising cos human beings need to communicate and let out their thoughts ba.

Think I'm addicted to blogging. :D

Oh Got. "Position of Power, Would you still apologize then"

Think this is very subjective.
Cos was just in class, teaching, wanted the pupils to take out their exercise books to do some practises with me. Then this child, gave him instruction to get paper from the back of the room, I always had single sided rough paper at the shelves.
Saw him walk to the back, then a short while later, he was tearing paper from another exercise book.
So I was like. "Why are you doing this?" Cos I dont want them to develop the habit of just taking out an exercise book and tear paper from it.
"Dont have paper, no more already" replied my child.
"Come follow me! get paper from the back"

When I was there, checked, realize, Oh! the papers are gone. *in my mind I was thinking, "How could that be. Its always bountiful"

- Stop - this is the scenario. I am the one in authority, according to my acts there are sufficient rough papers cos I know where my worksheets go.
Given the situation, there really isnt in that Particular slot that I always put.
and I did Speak to my child in an unkind tone for a while.

What would this person in authority do?

*turns out one of my helpers actually swopped the slots*

I said "so you did come and look for papers." *found a piece of annoucement paper tt would do fine as well.* "Ms Ng's fault, nah, you can use this one." then smile at the child.

Such an interesting thought isnt it.
Guess at the end of the day, A teacher does step down and apologizes, to let the pupil know that a teacher does apologize for their mistakes as well.

I'm not trying to show off that I am humble enough to apologize to my children.
Just wanted to express and trigger the thought.

What sort of Leadership role Disallow one to apologize then?
I think an emperor's one wouldnt allow.
Can you imagine an emperor apologize, the kind of impact he will have on his image, the kind of thoughts that his subordinates would have about his decisions from then forth.

Hmm... one of the previous US President apologize publically before, if I didnt remember wrongly, think it was accepted. Hows it like if Obama was placed in a situation that requires him to apologize? wOh!
