Pri 5 Camp

Hello people~ hows everyone been?
Sorry ar, hadn't really been online for the past few days,
I've been running around for the Pri 5 camp, so pretty busy and had to sleep early.

Pupils are separated into two tables, they've to swing from one table to another. :D
it takes guts for these young minds.

"Trolley" thats what they called this game.

Strings are attached to these planks, pupils are to synchronize their steps together.
I learnt that no matter who you are. the 1st person, the last one, the middle one, (you get my point) no matter how hard you pull, until the group shouts "left leg, 1,2,3" and everyone moves together, you are getting no where. :)
Thats what team work is about.
So leaders, get your act together. Know and work with your members.

Its true that my God is not a God of confusion. :D

Was talking about I dont digest the Commentary about the Tower of Babel in Gen 11.

alright let me put things into context,

Gen 11 talks about Noah's descendent going forth from the east of the land to the Land of Shinar, it was a place big enough to contain them all.
Though there was no proper mortar and building blocks for them to use,
they purpose in their heart to build themselves a tower and a city.
Hence they created bricks.

The commentary mention that that was when God caused confusion to come upon them and so they were scattered.

I was struggling, Confusion? God? these 2 words doesnt come together,

then I began to realize,

Let me explain the part on why God was against them building a tower first.

The reason why they want to build a tower and a city was actually a form of unity, they wanted to stay together, dwell together, build up these fortress so as to protect themselves from the rain,wind and acts of nature.
Stay in together as one. which was also the reason why they settle down in the Land of Shinar, (it was big enough to contain them all)

But what did God say? God commanded them in Gen 9:1, 7 to go forth and fill the earth. replenish all the land.
So they are meant to separate and each "conquer" and stay at different parts of the earth, not together, not meant to be unity - bond together.

So what was the reason that confusion would be inflicted on them?
They disobeyed.
They didnt do what God commanded them to do, for the matter, told them to do.
What is disobedience?
Disobedience is rebellion, its as good as breaking any of the 10 commandments, be it a lie or adultery or murder. Just as Pastor preach.

As I've read in the book Under Cover,
When we go against God and God is no longer God of all in our lives, He would lift up His covering of protection.

thats when the devil comes in, :) and so comes the confusion.

and so their tongues (the common language they used) became less effective (kind of like our modern day communication breakdown. :D we may be speaking English language, but sometimes points just dont get through)

Disagreement comes and off they go, each on their own, to different parts of the world.
*just as God purposed in His heart*

Guess thats the reason why we dont have one common language. :)
the hassle of having to learn another language ar? :D

the commentary mention,
Thats the reason why God gave us the Holy Language, the evident of the baptism of the Holy Spirit - Tongues.
One common language that all Child of God know
Rom 15:6
That you may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Gen 9

Hmm... wat should the title be?

Was reading the bible with Wesley commentary , am in the part on Noah his descendents.

got caught up in this part (have yet to read the commentary) where its written about Ham who went in and saw Noah's nakeness (cos he was drunk). Read Gen 9
then he went and told his two brothers about it. (at that point of time Noah came out of the ark with Shem, and Ham, and Japheth whom were his 3 son)
Ham was the youngest son of Noah, and has a son called Canaan.

Gen 9:24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done to him.

then follow on in v25
"And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be to his brothers."

I was instantly shocked *huh?*
I tot Ham did a good thing, he told his brothers, and then they went and covered the father. Huh? how come he end up on a bad note? no its how come his descendent end up on a bad note?

then read the commentary, realized
"Ham saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren - To have seen it accidentally and involuntarily would not have been a crime. But he pleased himself with the sight. And he told his two brethren without - In the street, as the word is, in a scornful deriding manner."

the word "without" meant who has not seen.

then i realize OoooOOoOOoo.

it went on to say in v26
"And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant."

and the commentary said:
"This certainly points at the victories obtained by Israel over the Canaanites, by which they were all either put to the sword, or put under tribute. "

Shem, who happens to be the ancestor of Abraham... oOOoooooOoOooo again

In case you didnt know Abraham begot Issac who begot Jacob who God called Israel. the 12 tribes of Israel are the descendents of Jacob/Israel.
oOOoOooOooOoo again.

Wah! God is interesting! So much to learn from and about the Bible

God is not the author of confusion, did He and really He cause there to be a confusion in the languages? hmm...

Once there was a monk walking along a river in the forest.
Walking halfway down the stream, he begin to hear soft sobs of sorrow.
"Who would it be?" He wondered as no one would come to this stream usually.

As he continued his stroll down the stream, he saw a beautiful young lady sitting on a big rock by the stream.
"What happened young lady?" asked the old monk with concern in his voice.

With tears on her beautiful cheeks, the young lady replied
"My beau left me." "I thought we were meant to be, I loved him so."
"He matters to me so, how am I going to live without him?"
Finishing her sentence, she turned away and look afar, lost in the sadness of her own. Dejected and seemly hopeless.

The monk asked,
"How was it that he left you, how was it that the two of you met?"
The lady shared with the monk the things that had happened, the beautiful memories that had turn into a black and white past. The sweet whispers that had once carried her through the lonely nights.

Soon, the lady stopped. Sitting on the rock, the trickling of the water in the stream the chirping of the birds on the trees seem so peaceful and smoothing.

Silence was between the two of them.

The monk shared.
"Look at the stream doesnt it flow while you were speaking?"
"Listen to the breeze, doesnt it serenade when you were crying?"
"What you've lost is like this piece of stone that sits in the river, being washed by the water, and one day it would just be yet another piece of stone, one in that pile."

"What he has lost, is like the water, your love that flows from your heart, one that could bring life to his thirsty heart, one that brings everlasting happiness that only the 2 of you could share." "That he has not appreciated and lost."

"Run along now my little one, there are so many waiting for you, the friends that are around you, just as the fishes in the sea, the family members, just as the people living downstream, and the chosen one, just as the big strong tree waiting for you to water him."

"What you have lost is nothing compared to what he has lost."

"Love, and be love i pray you."

Looking up, as though light has just shine into her world of emptiness, the young lady stretched her hand and reach out for a piece of stone. Picking it up, dropping it back to the pile that was already there.

Stepping in, she bended down and scoop up a handful of water, drinking in fully, letting her body be rejuvenated.

Watching her from afar as she nurses her heart, the monk continued his stroll down the river.

3 tips to get over a relationship.
1. figure out, understand and digest why the relationship is over.
2. address your emotions, cry if you have to, sit down and write a letter to yourself if you have to, then tell yourself to move on, get yourself to move on.
3. Move on. Subsequently when the emotions come back, cast it unto the Lord.

Why did I post it up? cos I dont understand why it take some people years to get over it.
maybe im heartless, thats why I can get over my relationships so soon. :D
I tell you its because my attention is meant for better things.
let it be if the person doesnt want to be with me anymore, or for the matter i dont want to be with the person anymore.
there surely will be a time of grieving, but doesnt time move on still?

Maybe its exactly bcos i understand this point le so thats why theres plenty around me with this problem ba.

By the way,
A guy whining and wallowing after a breakup is so unattractive. Its a big turnoff in-fact. Show me a girl who likes a guy who whines. its like *duH*
Personally, I rather guy not be so forward about it, I'll prefer him to "suffer in silence" in a nice way. Maybe just a few close friends la. It shows the strength that is within.
Of course the healing process should still apply la.

Girls on the other hand is different, they should whine, and cry and all the hooha about it. :D cos in that way, guys know she's available, those that missed the opportunity previously will have their hopes renewed. :D
Besides, show me a guy that doesnt like to be a hero.

was sitting in the lecture hall today... haiyo sian dao bu ke yi...

anyway,

met this new friend, whos obviously too shy for the camera


happened to be talking about church and everything.
its funny things are.
Don't know her one.
was sitting alone in the midst of the upper deck in the lecture hall.
was in a break when i saw her standing there with her tea.
As usual, cant be bothered.

then before I know, she came and ask, "anyone sitting here?"
then talk a little, then i continued reading my book.

then soon after sometime, some talk, she suddenly asked "Are you a stonge christian" (dunno how to spell the word "stonge")
then i ask her what is stonge anyway, then she listed the characteristics of being a City Harvester. :D

then talk talk realize she was from there too.

Sharing on, realize that there are people who left church because of really a very simple reason.
Bcos always in service, God's presence will just come. Confirm gurantee chop will be there. so much that its taken for granted.

So why did they left, bcos they want to have the hunger for His presence once again.

I pray that none of my readers, or Christian that I know will have this kind of thoughts.

Was just reading the book John Bevere - Under Cover.

wrote these down after reading the 2 sections. took really long to read this book, not like how I would normally bcos of Practium and all.
If He is not God of all, He is not God at all. " Therefore, the Lord's covering of protection was lifted." By rebelling - incomplete obedience, sin came in and took control of a person. Sin without true repentence is a signal to God that you don't want Him to be your God of all. Hence He choose not to be God at all. When He draws away, lift up His covering of protection, He knows what the devil will do unto you. He will warn you. If you choose to ignore, Satan brings judgement. If repentence is not in your heart, God will bring you up to heaven (at least what I've thought) and so forfeit your opportunity to finish your race of faith. But if repentence is in your heart, so shall you live and fulfill your destiny, the purpose you were formed for. Just as Balaam couldnt curse the people of Israel, he introduced sin, sexual immorality into the place. And that caused the covering of protection to be remove and so fulfill his intentions.

So much more about the book, please go read. its alot of Obedience and Submission, something that God honors. :)

Recently just came to the understanding of what Deut 8:3 meant

"So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD."

so much has been taught about man shall not live by bread alone, separately from the manna.
Much has been preached about living by faith on the living Word of God from the scripture itself.
in this small little brain of mine, nothing has been established aboout Manna and living Word till recently.

Manna was use in this category as it was something that God provided supernaturally.
Back then, in the very natural minds of the people, the have more unbelief than faith, more complains then thanksgiving.
Being the chosen ones, God proves Himself faithful to them, when there was no food in the wilderness, He provided them with Manna from heaven.

To me, this is an illustration that is shown in a concrete manner, that God has to use for someone simple minded like me.

Ever been in a situation that it seems like nothing will come through, almost as good as a God-forsaken situation? (mindset of those in the wilderness)
The truth of the matter is, not, that is not the case, But,

Instead of what is most natural, what the situation is telling you, what is man-produced - Bread, live by the living word of God, that is the very Manna that God has for us in the Holy Bible. The provision of His goodness, the secret place in His heart.

Only then will you experience the fullness of Christ,
the resurrection power of Him who was raised from the dead.

God's act says He will provide, and provide will He.
Be wise ya? :)

In cases u are running on the path of finance breakdown,
Maximise the time u have to earn money, if u want rest, dont complain that you dont have money to spent, if u want money, then dont complain you dont have time to rest. You balance it out.
Besides, its not just about u earning, spending it all for your own, dont forget to bless others too, especially your leaders, those who serve you. :)
Or some might be a case of having to earn but not enough to spend, feels real unfair.

Well, God is not against you spending money, God is against you not spending money wisely. :D
Thats what I always tell myself. :D

If God can bring money through you, He will bring money to you.

Was at the MRT station this morning. My attention was immediately drawn to the nice looking, buff build guys and girls with pretty faces and nice-flow-ly hair.
Then got reminded of the speaker and the people that are of respectable age (am in an induction programme so see ALOT of senior teachers)
How most of them are of age and the look of age too, wrinkles, skin with spots, sagging cheeks.

I am very convince, that now is the time to look pretty, we are only young for this period of time, if not now, then when is it going to be?

when age catches up and nature takes over? :D
by then, beauty will be the last thing on the list.

and no, beautiful doesnt necessary meant makeup, approval from the fashion magazines. Beauty comes from the inner-shine, comes from the presentation.
apparently I have the esteem and the confidence, but i think I need a little more packaging. :D got to work on it.
Yup, natural is beautiful, but if a little more work can make it even better, why not?

To the young people out there, dont just mix with one small group of people, hop around and make more friends. yes indeed the eagles does not mix with the turkeys, but how would eagles know of turkeys or that they need to soar high like other eagles had they not been introduced?

Its not about going deep into their life, its about watching at the surface. then when you spot those that can grow together with you, step in.

The weak will be shaken, just as the parable is spoken about seeds being sown in different grounds, check yourself and always ask to be a pot.

I pray for strength, for the young kid and for hunger.

When im fasting, and my tummy's grumbling, I'll exchange my empty stomach with the Lord for the purpose im fasting for.

really reminded me,
As a Choir member, I am very excited during praise, very worshipful during worship, but do I hunger for the Lord?
The outward posture might be there, but whats the inward status like?
Will you not read the bible anymore when the day comes that there is no task to be accomplished with the help of the bible?

Things that I dont know how to do, He knows how to. In this I have confidence.

Got a feeling that God will be so humorous that He will place the 3 guys to serve on the same day with me :D

One that had a past with me,
Another that had the audacity to say that kind of thing, that gave me the experience that people with gifts doesnt necessary have fruits.
And another is someone, God packaged very nicely, gave me the experience of age does not necessary means maturity in matters of the natural.

Not that I am any better, just wanna illustrate the point, else my readers will be lost. I am one rotten fallen yet chosen Child of God.

Was just lying on bed when I heard the giggle of happiness from my sis's laptop, she was watching a show.

got reminded, how nice it is to love, and be love by someone whom you love. The luxury, the indulgence of that person's attention, sharing life's moment and making decision together.

was in my choir practice when there was this brother who was giving out the handouts... dunno why he was so serious, both the process and the body posture. people would normally just oh, pass pass pass, get it over and done.
but wah... the look on his face... the look in the eye... *oh no...*
half the time i was saying to myself, oh no... so cute... stolen away...
maybe like what they say. serious guys are attractive.

and yes i like good body :D

then it came on to me. I dont want to be love by man first hand.
I want to experience the intimacy the belonging to love and be loved by the Lord.

to experience the Lord's love as though in a boy-girl relationship first before being together with a man.

Pretty cool huh :)

In that way, we'll began to see the beauties of the Lord, wat calls for in a relationship. and of course man's love will not be compare-able with God and in that way, I will still maintain that the relationship with God still comes first.
Do you know how many couples just get carried away when they get together?

Caught this understanding some days ago, stored in my hp, but slipped off my mind so didnt get to put it up

shall put it up today.

Was reading the book "Kiss of Heaven" by Darlene Zschech

in one part of the book she was sharing on how she come to the understanding that she dont have to serve the Lord in-order to gain His approval or His love.
all these are already given, freely. Its for us to claim boldly.

this is an extremely vital understanding as there are so many people, (like me) who would fall into the Martha syndrome, that is serving, not spending enough time at the feet of Jesus like Mary, falling in love with Him, being still.

That hey, really, there isnt a need to serve and serve and serve. What He wants more is your heart, your obedience.

was just reviewing my situation and I feel really blessed. Because of obedience, we walk straight in, into God's blessing. Because we obeyed, thats why we are blessed. What more about Sun, greater is her reward in heaven.

Every evening and morning I would pray. I would pray for the leaders, asking the Lord to bless them, I would lift up my burdens and cares to the Lord. Just realize the true picture of it.
That its like. "Hey God, I give you this this this and that that that. I ask for this this this and that that that so I can serve you effectively today."

Was just sitting on the bus when I got reminded of the function of roots. *sorry ar, science teacher is like that one.* :D

The function of roots is to help the plants to absorb water and nutrients from the ground and help the plant be firmly rooted to the ground.

That reminds me of the 2 illustrations that pastors gave.

One is about breaking the pot and be firmly rooted to the local church, house of God. and the other, the powerful and dramatic illustrations of seeking water and hence bearing fruit.

Trees never had a problem with bearing fruits.
To them, its always about breaking through cement floor, going deeper into the ground to get water. then Fruits will start popping like nobody's business.

Same goes for our Christian walk,
Seek and Receive, desire and yearn for the Living Water of the Lord, the environment and the situations that is happening around you will soon mold you to grow the fruits of the Spirit.

Be expanded, to the left, to the right, Enlarged in capacity and grow stronger Tenacity!

Got to memorize the list of fruits of the Spirit.
Gal 5:22 - 23a
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

Hmm... this is a good verse to memorize too... watch yourself...

Sleeping

Eating as in Indulging in good food.

Drinking Chocolaty drinks like Pure Chocolate from Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. or just Eating Chocolate.

Considering im a really light sleeper who departs from deep sleep really fast, and is extremely obedient to the body alarm clock... im such a poor thing...

hmm... these are 3 things that cant be done together
You cant indulge in good food then go to bed, cos you will grow real fat.

You cant drink those nice nice chocolaty drinks then go to bed cos you can feel the mouth, teeth screaming for plain water, or the teeth will be in horrible condition.

and neither should we be eating or drinking on bed.

Got reminded of what one of my friends said, about not supporting Sun,

not because she is from my church, she is my pastor's wife and all that.

Previously I'm not a big fan of Sun (neither am I now)
But really, look beyond her role as a Superstar.

Its not about how great (or horrible) that voice is,
its not about how cheap (or expensive) that CD is,

its about knowing why she is doing what she is doing.
what she is doing.
and what got her to do what she is doing.

where does her proceed goes to?
if you buy her CD, where does the money goes to?

Ever look at things that way? Sit down and think, why?

Look at the senior pastors, their reactions, the way things are.

I choose to believe :)

Was just walking down the hallway,
then it came onto me, I like worship,
I missed the feeling of being in the midst of worship.

What is worship to you?
As it is human beings are the only ones who knows and are able to worship.

I feel worship is being lost in the moment, in the presence of the Lord, when you are just floating away. Oblivious of everything. oblivious of the people around you, oblivious of yourself, your physical pain or emotional pain. Escaped away for a while, having that opportunity of rest. :)

Had a great concert yesterday... *how would it be like if my family members were there?*
It was a great time in the presence of the Lord. :) its great when presence of the Lord just came and swept through the place when Sun sat down and share her own experience.
The very moment when I know He has arrived, the touch of the heart, the tear on the cheeks.
Indeed, He touched me.

What is sexy?
she was asking, "This kind of Sun, are you able to accept?" "Hai ke yi ma?" <- "still can handle?"
Ya! Why not? its human expression of hidden body language, not untasteful porn. Besides she has the figure so...
dunno whats up with people that cant accept.

Really, what is sexy? I feel it isnt about stripping down to reveal Lots of skin, its really about the look of indulgence. Sensual would be a better word to use.
Indulgence in that moment, eyes closed, heart open.

whats more important is to be able to handle one's own body, having healthy esteem and confidence.

As a matter of fact, guys who have confidence and healthy esteem can get girls for a good night out more easily even though they are vertically or horizontally challenge.
